When considering a pool enclosure, there is the option of a standard,  or a panoramic screened enclosure, or a combination of the two. Let’s talk about what these choices mean, and what benefits they bring as the differences aren’t necessarily obvious.

Standard Cages

Standard cages have typical panel sizes that can be easily constructed in a variety of shapes. The panel can hold either a mesh screen, or in more advanced versions, a waterproof pane that allows you to see outside. Materials may vary, but aluminum is typically used, especially for larger cages with complex roofing requirements.

Standard cages tend to be less expensive than panoramic cages, but prices can vary greatly from project to project. It is always best to consult with a T&M Aluminum representative to discuss your options.

Panoramic Cages

Panoramic cages are a custom version of the standard cage, but focuses more on the views of beautiful sunsets, landscape, or surrounding wildlife. The panorama comes from the extra large screens, or panes that are installed in these cages. Such screens may cover most or all of an entire poolside cage wall giving the impression there is nothing separating you from the beauty of the outdoors. These panoramic screens have become particularly popular in the last few years in Sarasota, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Manasota Key, Venice, Northport, Port Charlotte, and Punta Gorda.

The panoramic view lends itself best to a pool that overlooks a lake, sunset, garden, and a grove of trees. A choice of one, or multiple panoramic panels can be installed. A standard enclosure can also be upgraded with a panoramic section or sections.

If you think a panoramic clear view is just what your pool or screen enclosure needs, contact T&M Aluminum for more information and a free estimate.
